Hello again
Well, hello again. It’s been a while since I’ve used this, but I’m hopeful I will publish more this summer. I want to give a couple of updates about myself. I have just finished my junior year at Mizzou and should again make the honor roll. Also, I have accepted a summer internship at Northwestern Mutual. With my internship, I should have more time and ability to play more rounds of golf (fingers crossed).
I will be playing in the Tri-State Masters on May 19-21. Tri-State is one of my favorite events because of the setup. Over the three days, we will play at three different courses in 3 different states. On May 19th, the tournament will begin in Vermillion, SD, at The Bluffs Golf Course. For the tournament, the course will play with a par of 72, a length of 6,202 yards, and a course rating of 70. On the second day, we move to South Sioux City, NE, and Covington Links Golf Course. Covington is tougher than the scorecard would imagine, as they have Cottonwood trees lining every hole. Covington will play as a par 71, roughly 6,000 yards, and a course rating of 68.8. The final round is played at Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, IA. Green Valley is a par 72, playing at 6,731 yards, with a course rating of 72.
I will do my best to update after each of these tournament rounds and any others I play in this summer, but I will also try to do better at updating after any casual round I play.
My current handicap is 3.1. Hopefully, we’ll see that go down as the season progresses. Let’s have ourselves a season!
